There are occasions when children are not protected from harm by their family. This may result in the Champaign County Department of Job & Family Services taking temporary custody of the children and placing them in a safe home. Foster homes are needed to provide those safe havens for these children - they need to be caring individuals or couples who are willing to work with the agency and the family toward eliminating the concerns causing the removal of the children. Very active participation in the family’s case plan and visitation is a must for successful reunification.
