Health Insurance Medicaid
Medicaid is a state and federally funded health care coverage plan administered by Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Medicaid provides health coverage to low-income and medically vulnerable people of all ages.
Medicaid provides health care coverage to a number of different groups of people who meet the financial requirements. There are two major groups and each major group has several programs.
Families & Children
Provides family or individual health care coverage based on income and the presence of a child in the home.
Aged, Blind, Disabled
Provides individuals health care coverage based on income and asset limits. Individuals must be age 65 or older, legally blind or individuals of any age with a disability. Individuals who are eligible for Medicare can receive help with all or part of their Medicare Part B premiums, co-payments, and/or deductibles.
