Health Insurance Spenddown - Monthly Deductable
If you are aged or blind or disabled and your income is more that the specified level for regular Medicaid, you may be eligible under the Spenddown category. The amount of income that you are over the specified level for regular Medicaid becomes your Spenddown amount, and this is the amount you are responsible for incurring in medical expenses each month before you can become eligible.

How Do I Apply?
- Contact the Consumer Hotline at 1-800-324-8680 or contact our agency to request an application for Medicaid. You must complete a face to face interview.
- Complete the application then mail it, fax it or deliver it to the county agency
- Provide proof of all income and resources
- A worker will contact you to schedule your face to face interview
